• European Corporate Banking Institution looking to expand the TMT Coverage Team in NYC
• Looking to add an AVP or VP

Summary:

The Corporate Coverage Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of existing US corporates and develop new prospects with international presence and a solid credit profile in the US Technology sector. Specific areas of interest are: Software companies, Semiconductors, and Data Centers.

Primary objective is to grow the portfolio by onboarding new clients and to optimize the revenue generation and profitability of the clients’ portfolio with new cross-sell opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop long-term strategic partnerships and trusted advisor relationships with Treasurers and CFOs and other key decision-makers within targeted client group.
• Market the bank's capabilities, both in North America as well as in the rest of the world, particularly in Europe, and present ideas that meet the clients’ financial needs
• Orchestrate the global coverage for the respective client and the product units in order to deliver the right solutions and, thereby, generate cross-sell
• Track the client profitability and initiate marketing efforts if the profitability is not sufficient
• Manage global client exposure and work with credit risk management
• Identify and originate new clients that fit the bank's target client profile and allow the bank to earn adequate returns, both in the U.S. and globally; initiate the respective process to get approval for new clients
• Responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of complex transactions involving leading/coordinating multiple products/teams to meet client needs.
• Maintain deep understanding of the TMT sector, clients’ strategic and global objectives, and assist in meeting these goals by providing the relevant products and value-added propositions.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities in debt financing (syndications, securitization, bridge financings, leverage finance), M&A advisory, corporate finance advisory, capital markets, hedging (rates, currencies, pensions, commodities), cash management, trade finance, tax, etc.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years experience in Corporate and Investment Banking coverage with top-tier client relationships to U.S. Corporates that have significant business in USA and Europe
• Track record in the TMT sector identifying and executing transactions in the US
• Extensive working knowledge in originating, structuring and executing projects in the TMT assets class and capable of developing a sustainable business in this sector.
• FINRA Series 7 or 79 license is required - licenses are highly desired upon hire - must be obtained with 90 - 120 days post hire.
• Strong fixed income product knowledge.
• Superior client relationship, marketing presentation and sales skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Industry knowledge, including awareness of client and competitive landscape.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics;
