Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join our student support team. This role focuses on removing barriers to learning by providing direct services, case management, and crisis intervention for students and families. The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and passionate about supporting mental health and positive youth development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans addressing barriers to academic success.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, and specialized staff to support student well-being.
• Serve as a liaison between home and school, connecting families with community resources.
• Support crisis intervention, attendance initiatives, and behavior intervention plans.
• Participate in IEP and 504 processes as required, providing input on student needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state, district, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• Current Ohio Social Work license (LSW or LISW) required.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in school or community settings preferred.
• Strong cultural competence, communication skills, and ability to build trusting relationships.
• Knowledge of school-based mental health practices, community resources, and trauma-informed care.
