Senior Product Developer – Culinary-Inspired CPG

A fast-growing, chef-driven CPG brand is seeking a Senior Product Developer to lead new product innovation from benchtop to shelf. Known for bold flavors and nationally distributed pantry staples, this company is reimagining what premium, globally inspired packaged food can be.

This is a unique opportunity to step into an entrepreneurial environment with strong culinary roots and shape the future of innovation alongside a highly experienced leadership team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full product development lifecycle—from concept, bench work, and testing through scale-up and commercialization.
  • Partner closely with internal teams across innovation, operations, QA, and marketing to bring new ideas to life.
  • Own relationships with co-manufacturers across the U.S. and internationally; attend trials and production runs.
  • Translate culinary and brand vision into technically viable, consumer-ready products.
  • Source ingredients, manage costing, create spec sheets, and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA and USDA).
  • Work hands-on in the kitchen and travel regularly to support commercialization.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–7+ years of food product development experience in high-growth CPG environments.
  • Strong technical fluency in shelf-stable, savory, or snack products
  • End-to-end experience with commercialization, co-man engagement, and regulatory labeling.
  • Hands-on, generalist mindset with the ability to manage bench work, vendor sourcing, costing, and product optimization.
  • Comfort working in an experimental, fast-moving, and chef-driven culture.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and lift up to 50 lbs during production support.

Location & Travel

  • Hybrid schedule based in NYC (approximately 2 days/week in office).
  • Flexibility to do bench work at home or on site.
  • Regular domestic travel; occasional international.

If you're an agile, cross-functional product developer who loves translating culinary creativity into consumer-ready products, we’d love to connect. Apply now or reach out directly for more details.
