Title: Senior Monitoring & Data Analytics Engineer

Location : Winston Salem, NC

Duration: Fulltime

Salary: $90,000 to 100,000/yearly + benefits

Position Summary:

• The individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining analytical models and technical/monitoring solutions.
• This role combines data analysis and technical expertise to drive insights, optimize business processes, and support high-availability financial transaction platforms.
• The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the use of innovative monitoring tools. The candidate should have experience implementing rules and alerts using platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds, and SCOM.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a Technical field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, technical support, and development of distributed financial services transaction platforms
• Expertise in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Power Platform, and AWS solutions
• Proficiency with BI, data extraction, and visualization tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with monitoring tools including SCOM, Dynatrace, Splunk, and SolarWinds
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Advanced troubleshooting capabilities
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and reporting practices
• Familiarity with industry-specific platforms
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, or other observability tools
• Proficiency in querying and analyzing large log files
• Experience with visualization tools such as Splunk Dashboards, Dynatrace Data Explorer, ServiceNow Event Management Dashboard, and AWS monitoring tools
• Understanding of data mining and trend analysis

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and issues
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports
• Provide incident response and troubleshoot production issues
• Integrate data sources and automate processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
• Deliver Level 3 support and liaise with vendors when needed
• Assist in release management, infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and disaster recovery efforts
