Job Description

My client, a reputable civil contractor serving the Athens area, is actively seeking a skilled Senior Estimator to join their team. They focus on large-scale civil infrastructure projects and need a seasoned professional to lead their estimating efforts with precision and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the estimating process for civil construction projects such as site development, utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare thorough and competitive bids.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing and technical details.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, bid packages, and maintain cost databases.
• Assess risks and opportunities during the estimating process and offer strategic insights.
• Provide mentorship to junior estimators and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of civil construction estimating experience, preferably with a contractor.
• Solid understanding of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
