Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and implementing testing strategies, identifying, and mitigating defects, and ensuring integrity of Revenue and Financial data. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the QA Manager supports system enhancements, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, ultimately safeguarding data accuracy and reliability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish clear quality standards, testing methodologies, and performance metrics for team members, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of QA analysts and data stewards dedicated to ensuring the integrity of revenue and finance data, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Design and implement robust quality assurance policies, procedures, and test frameworks to validate the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of revenue and finance data.
  • Work closely with IT, finance, and business intelligence teams to define testing priorities, develop comprehensive test plans, and align quality assurance efforts with overall enterprise data management strategies.
  • Facilitate the creation and execution of a quality assurance roadmap that supports organizational objectives and ensures that data assets meet rigorous internal and external compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner teams and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements, validate quality standards, and adjust QA practices to meet evolving business needs.
  • Provide regular, detailed updates and reports to senior management, summarizing key quality metrics, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Supervise the development and execution of rigorous test plans, data validation checks, and quality reviews to ensure revenue and finance data consistently meets established standards.
  • Ensure QA practices adhere to internal controls and external regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX), proactively identifying and mitigating data quality risks.
  • Foster Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging quality metrics, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices to refine QA processes and tools.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to data quality frameworks and testing methodologies, ensuring efficient and effective validation of financial data.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management aimed at strengthening overall data governance and enhancing the reliability of revenue and finance data across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Master's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business management, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or other related field of study; or any combination of relevant work experience and education.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the role of Agile Project Manager or Delivery Coach, with focus on delivering solutions preferably in the cruise industry.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Strong expertise in quality assurance methodologies, financial systems, and revenue processes, along with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Proficiency in testing strategies, automation tools, and data validation techniques is essential to ensure system accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to identify defects and improve processes.
  • Additionally, the role demands excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with Product Owners, Delivery Coaches and Engineering team as well as business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, further enhances the ability to support system integrity and compliance.
