Badger Talent Solutions is hiring a Plant Operations Manager for a growing, precision-driven manufacturing company based in Racine, WI .

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing financial performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day plant operations with a focus on P&L performance , productivity, and quality.
• Own financial outcomes including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability improvement.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing , 5S , and continuous improvement initiatives across all production areas.
• Optimize utilization of people, machines, and materials to ensure on-time delivery and efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new processes, technologies, and workflow enhancements.
• Recruit, develop, and coach team members to promote accountability, engagement, and safety.

Ideal Background

• Proven success managing a machining or job shop environment with direct P&L responsibility.
• Strong understanding of CNC operations, tooling, fixturing, and precision manufacturing methods .
• Experience driving operational metrics , cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (Plex a plus), MS Office , and quality management systems.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic planning and shop-floor execution .
