Position: Paralegal (Family/Matrimonial Law)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $60k to 80k/PA

Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Paralegal to join our Client’s Team. Their legal team is committed to providing each client with quality counsel, innovative solutions, and personalized service. They are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm in Brooklyn, seeking to add a paralegal to assist and support our Family Law/Matrimonial Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, statements, judgments, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Support attorneys in case preparation, including trial notebooks and in-person trial assistance when needed
• Conduct client interviews, serve as liaison between client and attorney, and manage confidential case details.
• Review and organize financial documents (bank statements, asset/debt lists, child support worksheets).
• Manage e-filing in Family Court (state and federal) and track court dates, filings, and deadlines.
• Maintain Outlook calendars, schedule appointments/meetings, and coordinate logistics.
• Organize discovery packages and maintain filing systems.
• Handle service of pleadings, discovery documents, and other litigation tasks.
• Support attorneys in high-pressure, high-volume case environments.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE: Minimum 3+ years of Family/Matrimonial Law experience
• Proven ability to work with high-net-worth clients; professional, discreet, and composed under pressure.
• Litigation support experience (divorce, custody, equitable distribution).
• Strong drafting, document review, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Westlaw, ProLaw.
• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
• Highly professional, polished, and client-facing.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
