Job Description – Franchise Head, Nephrology Market Research

The primary role of the Franchise Head, Nephrology Market Research at Spherix Global Insights is to oversee all aspects of the Nephrology business units.

A successful candidate is a results-oriented team leader that thrives in a fast-paced environment and can think strategically while managing and growing their business. This role requires a deep understanding of the Nephrology landscape, pharmaceutical industry, market research methodologies, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic recommendations for internal and client stakeholders. This role includes business development responsibilities, with a focus on identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth through sales of market research and consulting services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Develop the strategic plan for the franchise including P&L management, publication plan development, new product development, and business/organizational development.
•    Work intimately and actively with clients, and potential clients, to assure Spherix’s position as a go-to source for insights and strategy.
•    Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Nephrology market dynamics, patient needs, healthcare trends, and competitive intelligence.
•    Lead across the organization while developing a team of Insights Directors and Insights Analysts to execute the publication plan.  
•    Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth through the sale of market research and consulting services.
•    Attend national and international conferences to stay updated on the latest data, meet with opinion leaders and key clients and present data where applicable as the face of Spherix in the Nephrology space.
•    Work closely with the KOL advisory board and key therapy organizations to say abreast of the changing disease landscape.
•    Work with Executive Management team to pinpoint growth opportunities – beyond franchise – for the organization.  The Franchise Head will work with executive management to expand the organization by helping to identify new products, services and bolt-on partnerships/opportunities aligned and synergistic with our growth plans.

KEY SKILLS, COMPENCENCIES, AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED 
•    10+ of relevant experience in Nephrology, market research, consulting, or account management.
•    Ideal candidate will be recognized as a clinical expert in the Nephrology space, with a deep knowledge of the therapeutic area.
•    Direct sales experience, including identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and closing sales in a competitive environment.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
•    Proven leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
•    Demonstrated (Servant) leadership.
•    Advanced project management skills.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Advanced data analysis and insights generation experience.
•    Comfort using Microsoft Excel, SPSS and PowerPoint.
•    Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
•    Experience with both US and ex-US markets preferred.
