Our client, a well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor , is seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on ground-up and interior build-out commercial projects throughout the Austin market. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys working collaboratively and influencing projects from the earliest stages.

With experience across office, industrial, retail, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors, they have built a strong reputation for accuracy, integrity, and execution. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an Estimator who can play a key role in preconstruction and long-term company success.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Analyze subcontractor bids, scopes, and pricing to ensure completeness and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and ownership during preconstruction.
• Develop budgets, conceptual estimates, and value-engineering options.
• Participate in bid strategy meetings and subcontractor outreach.
• Track market pricing, labor, materials, and subcontractor trends.
• Support proposal preparation and client presentations as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience estimating ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel (Procore or similar platforms preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
