🔌 We're Hiring: Energy Marshal – Data Center Construction & Commissioning

We're looking for a Controlling Energy Marshal to join our team and help drive excellence across data center construction campuses.

🌟 About the Role

This is a quality assurance and supervisory position focused on ensuring vendors and contractors meet or exceed rigorous energy isolation and electrical safety standards. You’ll be the go-to authority for implementing, auditing, and improving energy isolation programs across large-scale construction projects.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and assure compliance with Energy Isolation and Electrical Safety Programs
• Implement SPS-101 and SPS-102 standards across campus operations
• Lead audits, inspections, and assurance processes to close safety gaps
• Review SoWs, MOPs, commissioning scripts, and ensure all energy sources are identified
• Establish centralized LOTO systems and verify personnel qualifications and PPE
• Act as an independent authority to stop unsafe work practices
• Liaise with operations to mitigate impact on live data center environments
• Support incident investigations, technical training, and process improvements
• Participate in weekly HRA/JHA meetings, project reviews, and vendor coordination

📈 Deliverables

• Weekly audits and safety observations
• Energy Isolation status reports and commissioning tag updates
• Monthly support for trade partner performance reviews

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Experience in data center construction and commissioning
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and multi-source energy isolation
• Ability to interpret line drawings and enforce LOTO systems
• Proven leadership in promoting safety culture and technical excellence
• NFPA 70e Certification (CESCP preferred)
• OSHA 30 Hour Training

💡 Preferred Skills

• Deep knowledge of paralleling switchgear, UPS systems, DC battery strings, ATS/STS, and diesel generators
• Familiarity with NFPA, OSHA, and industry best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering and non-engineering teams
