Job Title: Equipment Operator and Mail Clerk

Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Location: Boston, MA 02108

Pay Rate: $20.05 - $22.53/hr

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Print & Mail Operator to run mail inserters/sorters and maintain accurate postal meter logs and production reports. Schedule: 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday-Friday.

Detailed Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:

• The employee will handle special print and mail jobs, including preparing, posting, and operating different inserters and sorters for unique deliverables.
• They must ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly mailing deadlines are met in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Duties include processing and distributing mail, operating mail inserting machines, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping work areas clean.
• The role also requires following quality procedures, maintaining supply inventory, and taking initiative to manage workflow when supervisors are unavailable.
• Additionally, the employee must comply with all standards.
• Follow QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and quality.

Job Details:

• Full training offered until the employee is confident operating equipment.
• Busy machine room with printing, inserting, and mailing equipment; noisy but headphones are allowed.
• Requires standing for long periods with multiple breaks during the day.
• Accuracy is critical since mistakes can cause costly rework of large mail jobs.

Qualifications Required:

• Skilled at identifying and correcting errors, following print job specifications, and communicating effectively with team members and customers.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced print shop, able to work independently or in a team, and confident in asking clarifying questions.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office and email, with ability to learn specialized software like DFWorks and adapt to new systems.
• Able to lift/push up to 50 lbs and must pass fingerprinting/security screening for jobs.

Required:

• Class D Driver's License
