Job Title: CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift

Location: Brookfield, WI

Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Training : 6-9 months on 1st shift required (6a-2p M-F)

Pay: $24-26/hr + $2.25 shift premium

Overtime: Possible, ~5–8 hours/week

Position Summary

Engauge Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced 3rd Shift CNC Machinist to operate universal CNC grinding machines in a precision manufacturing environment. This skilled role focuses on producing high-precision cutting tools and parts to exact customer specifications. Candidates must be able to independently set up, operate, and monitor multi-axis CNC grinding or milling machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate universal CNC grinding machines for high-precision tool and part production.
• Dress and form abrasive wheels, mount tools, and adjust spindle speeds, feed rates, and travel stops.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously when appropriate to maximize efficiency.
• Accurately record production data in the data collection system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: Associates degree in machine tool operation, technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1–3 years experience operating CNC grinding or 4–5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Broad knowledge of cutting tool design and universal grinding procedures.
• Strong math and trigonometry skills for calculating machine settings.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Skilled with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Experience with CNC grinding machines such as Walter, ANCA, Star, Schutte, Rollomatic strongly preferred.
• Computer literate for program entry and data collection.
• Attention to detail, focus on quality, and ability to work independently in a precision environment.
