Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Manager to lead the design and permitting efforts for multifamily residential land development projects. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a vertically integrated developer offering career advancement, professional development, and long-term stability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead internal design teams through construction plan preparation, technical calculations, and project permitting.
• Manage all aspects of site civil design, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, hydrology, and roadway layouts.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and submittals to ensure timely and compliant deliverables.
• Collaborate with local municipalities and agencies to navigate permitting and zoning requirements.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers; provide leadership in project execution and team development.
• Coordinate with other internal departments (survey, construction, planning) to ensure full project lifecycle alignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Active PE license in Georgia or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in land development, specifically in residential or multifamily site design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D , Hydroflow/ICPR , WaterCAD , Bluebeam , and related tools.
• Strong communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of permitting processes, erosion control, utility layout, and construction documentation.

Preferred:

• Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheets or Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with design principles related to storm drainage, sediment control, and erosion management.
• Ability to lead internal engineering teams and work collaboratively with permitting and planning agencies.
