Carter Lumber was founded in 1932 by W.E. Carter. For 90 years, we have strengthened our company by staying true to our values, which include honesty, hard work, and putting people first. What started as a single lumberyard in Akron, Ohio, is represented today by seven brands servicing professional builders and homeowners across thirteen states with more than 160 locations. Despite our growth, we are still a family-owned company. Our core values and our people-first culture remain the same.
Description
As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting exterior doors to our approximately 200 retail locations East of the Mississippi and to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner. You will be driving equipment from our well-maintained, company-owned fleet. The sleeper cabs come equipped with refrigerator, T.V. and a microwave. This is a regional driving position, as we grow and expand so will your driving responsibilities and regions. There will be overnight runs along with local daily runs. You will be notified of driving assignments one week in advance. You will ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. You will also ensure that all DOT and FMCSA requirements and standards are upheld.
Requirements:
