Our client, an established healthcare asset management organization who supports over 40 states, is looking to add a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to their growing team. Relocation assistance is available for this role.

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing general patient care equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. This role may also provide mentoring to junior technicians and apprentices but does not serve in a formal supervisory capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on patient care equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation of all service activities in the company’s proprietary system
• Manage and execute the facility’s preventative maintenance schedule
• Support cost containment initiatives as directed by leadership
• Monitor and meet departmental performance standards and KPI benchmarks
• Mentor and guide Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) and apprentices
• Ensure compliance with hospital and company policies and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a biomedical technician or engineering role
• Demonstrated ability to service and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, technical training, or higher education in biomedical engineering, electronics, or related field preferred
• CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) or equivalent certification preferred
