Job Title: Benefits Supervisor

Location: St. Louis, MO

Schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a Benefits Supervisor to provide comprehensive analytical support in the design and administration of employee benefit plans. This includes medical, dental, vision, life, wellness, HSA, and FSA plans. The role involves regular communication with employees and beneficiaries to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The Benefits Supervisor will also oversee benefits analysts and their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve benefits and payroll issues using vendors, brokers, and internal systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Administer and monitor leave of absence processes, including FMLA compliance.
  • Maintain HRIS systems with updates for hires, changes, and terminations.
  • Prepare IRS Form 5500 and Summary Annual Reports.
  • Audit and test benefits data in PeopleSoft.
  • Manage ACA reporting and imputed income updates.
  • Conduct benefits orientation for new hires.
  • Support open enrollment planning and execution.
  • Facilitate Dependent Care FSA testing and communication.
  • Lead RFPs and vendor implementations.
  • Review and update plan documents and insurance certificates.
  • Lead benefit-related projects and draft leadership communications.
  • Develop second-tier benefit communication campaigns.
  • Maintain intranet benefit content and analyze market surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with federal mandates and support HR training.
  • Respond to HR Helpline inquiries and provide backup support.
  • Handle workers’ compensation reporting and OSHA compliance.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5–6 years of experience in health and welfare plan administration.
  • 5–6 years of HRIS experience (PeopleSoft preferred).
  • CEBS or CBP certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits legislation and payroll processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
