We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join our dynamic veterinary team at Hawthorne Animal Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal health, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, educating pet owners, and working collaboratively with a team of veterinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
- Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop treatment plans based on findings.
- Provide a wide range of medical and surgical treatments, including vaccinations, dental care, and surgery as required.
- Advise pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and general animal husbandry to promote animal wellness.
- Develop and maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing education and support regarding their pets’ health and treatment options.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs when applicable.
